Last week, while reading variously around Aboriginal subjects, I sat down at the computer to record a note made elsewhere :  The mysterious unfolding of human thought was more beguiling to them than the fate of the individuals who embodied it. But, having tapped out, as I thought, the first six words, I looked up at the screen to find that I had actually written : The mysterious undoing of human thought ; as a perfect example of what in fact it said, I let the phrase stand.
