Tomorrow I’m flying to Adelaide for a few days of research; and thence to Alice Springs, where I have never before been, for a week of . . . more research. Because there’s some kind of sports event for the elderly on in the Alice, I’ve booked into a place somewhat to the west of the city, at Glen Helen, a former cattle station, where the above image was painted. I’ve no idea what to expect – hence my excitement.
